Purple Kiss ( 퍼플키스), the self-producing South Korean girl group formed by RBW, and winners of the Next Generation Hallyu Star Award & (World) K-POP Girl Group, have won over the K-Pop industry with their incredible talents and shining personalities.
The girl group, (consisting of members: Na Go-eun, Dosie, Ireh, Yuki, Chaein, and Swan) has released an impressive 7 singles and 7 albums in just two years since debut, as well as two pre-debut singles; and now they’re tackling another incredible accomplishment-their first US tour!
We were blessed to be able to chat with Purple Kiss about their preparations for their tour, their travel must-haves, their incredible outfits, and a quick round of ‘This or That’! You can check out all their answers below!
Congratulations on your first-ever US Tour! What are you most excited about experiencing while touring in the US?
[도시] 미국 플로리분들의 에너지와 사랑을 직접 피부로 느낄 수 있다는 게 가장 기대되고, 미국의 열일곱 개 도시를 돌면서 공연한다는 사실 자체가 너무 설레는 일인 것 같습니다!
[Dosie] I am most excited about being able to feel the energy and love from our American PLORYS directly and I think it’s very exciting to be performing around 17 cities in the United States!
What steps did you take to prepare for the tour? Did you have any surprises?
[채인] 투어를 준비하면서 새로운 무대도 만들고 기존에 있던 곡들도 열심히 준비했는데요, 열심히 준비한 무대들 가서도 풀에너지로 보여드리기 위해 출국하기 전날 다 같이 에너지 충전을 하였습니다!
[Chaein] While preparing for the tour, we made new stages and worked hard on our existing songs. We all charged up our energy the day before we left to show you [PLORYS] our full energy!
What song are you most excited to perform on tour?
[이레] 저는 관객들과 즐겁게 놀 수 있는 Zombie가 가장 기대됩니다
[Ireh] I am [most] looking forward to ‘Zombie’, which we can have fun with the audience.
Do you have any pre-show rituals?
[유키] 멤버들과 연습을 하면서 공연을 준비하고, 어떻게 해야 팬분들이 더 좋아해 주실지 많이 생각하였습니다.
[Yuki] I thought a lot about how to prepare for the concert while practicing with the members, and how the fans would like [enjoy] it more.
If you could choose any artist to open for your show, who would it be?
[수안] Jessie J요! 개인적으로 너무 팬이라서요!
[채인] 저는 SZA요!!
[Swan] Jessie J! Personally, I am such a fan!
[Chaein] For me, it’s SZA!
What item can you never leave behind when traveling?
[도시] 저는 마사지볼, 고데기입니다! 발이 쉽게 피로해지는 편이라 꾸준히 마사지볼로 풀어줘야 고, 머리카락이 자고 일어나면 너무 붕 떠버리기 때문에 고데기가 필수입니다!
[Dosie] For me, it’s massage ball and a hair straightener! My feet tend to get tired easily, so I regularly use the massage ball to relieve tension. As for my hair, it tends to get all tangled while I sleep, so a hair straightener is a must!
[나고은] 에어팟, 헤드폰🎧. 항상 음악을 듣거나 영상을 보기 때문에 필수입니다.!.!
[Goeun] Air pods and headphones. 🎧. It’s a must because I always listen to music or watch videos!!
You all have a great sense of style, what is one fashion must-have that you can’t live without? [도시] 저는 모자를 좋아하는데요, 심플한 룩에도 컬러감 있는 모자를 매치하면 특별해지는 것 같아서 꼭 필요한 것 같습니다! 이번에 미국에도 많이 가져왔어요!
[채인] 저는 악세사리가 꼭 필요해요. 목걸이로 포인트를 자주 주는 편이고 조금 더 나아간다면 반지까지 바꿔서 끼는 걸 좋아해요!
[Dosie] I love to wear hats. Even with a simple look, adding a colorful hat can make it special, so it feels essential to me. I’m bringing many with me to the United States this time!
[Chaein] I really need accessories. I often like to add a final touch with necklaces, and if I go a step further, I enjoy changing my rings as well!
If you could only wear one outfit from this tour for the rest of your life, which outfit would you choose?
[이레] 이번 투어에서 처음으로 보여드리는 발레코어 원피스 의상이 있는데요, 이 의상이 예쁘기도 하지만 가장 편하기 때문에 평생 입어야 한다면 이 의상을 선택하겠습니다
[Ireh] We have a ballet-core outfit that we are showcasing for the first time on this tour. It’s not only beautiful but also the most comfortable so, I would choose this outfit, if I had to wear one outfit for the rest of my life.
Do you have any tour spoilers for PLORY?
[수안] 새로운 유닛 무대를 보실 수 있습니다!
[Swan] You can expect to see a new unit stage!
Is there anything you’d like to see while on your US tour?
[도시] 할리우드 사인을 볼 기회가 있다면 정말 신기할 것 같아요ㅎㅎ [Dosie] It would be amazing if I had a chance to see the Hollywood sign!
What should PLORY expect from this tour?
[채인] 모두 다 기대해 주세요!
[Chaein] Just expect EVERYTHING!
Is there anything else you’d like to say to PLORY? [나고은] 플로리~ 항상 퍼플키스의 든든한 팬이 되어줘서 고맙고 플로리를 만나기 위해 열심히 준비했으니까 마음껏 즐기면서 같이 좋은 추억들 쌓으면 좋겠어요. 너무 너무 사랑해요
